The BrotherHobby Returner series of motors have been a constant staple of the miniquad world for several years now, showing up in various KVs and brandings all over the world.  This particular motor is the R4 2450kv, which has been a popular motor already in the freestyle market.  The motor is identical to the other R4 motor already tested, the only difference being the KV.

Results

The results here are solid, about as expected. Keep in mind the results are not directly comparable to the previous returner motor tested due to changes in the power system for the test bench, so even though the results for these motors look essentially identical the 2450kv still has a solid lead due the more consistent but lower voltage.  The low weight, solid torque and slightly higher KV make this motor ideal for mid-weight to heavy 5" props.  The top end will not feel dramatically different between the 2300kv and 2450kv, but the throttle curve will be quite different, with power delivery lower in the throttle and a flatter throttle curve near the top, providing a more linear response through the whole throttle range compared to it's lower KV brethren. An excellent performance to weight ratio, still offering some of the best balance on the market even against more recently designed motors.
