As with the R2306, this R2305 tests a bit higher KV, coming in at 2550kv rather than the stated 2480kv. That puts this motor more into the high KV space than the mid KV space, which is reflected in the results. The shorter stator, thinner profile magnets, and relatively high KV means this motor really shines on lighter weight 5" props like the Cylcone 5045, traditional 5x4x3 profile props, and the v1s 5x4x4 PC. The smaller stator starts showing a bit on the heavier props, where thrust looses ground against the larger stator motors and current draw starts to climb comparatively, though it is still managable. One thing that seems to be a commonality on all the Edge Lite motors is a slower transition speed against other motors in the same stator class. It seems the combination of thinner magnets and wider stators acts as a limiting factor on response times, even on lighter props, for example comparing the response times against the Cobra Champion 2205 2500kv on the 5x4x3. That is unlikely to majorly impact flight performance dramatically, and most likely to show up as a "smoother" and less "sharp" feel to the tune, though it does seem to mitigate some of the advantages to a wider stator and the extra weight. Overall the strong pefromance from a sub 30g motor combined with the smoothness, very high build quality, and quality control make it a compelling motor.
