The Edge Lite motors have made fairly frequent appearances on the bench in various stator sizes and KVs so this motor is a familiar face.  The only real difference here is the KV, so we'll jump straight to the results.

Results

The most interesting thing about the results on this motor is the fact that it tested significanly lower KV than stated, coming in just below 2200kv.  This puts this motor more in the low KV range, which is actually quite interesting.  The results back this up with fairly conservative numbers on the light props where the RPMs are maxing out, and strong numbers but excellent efficiency on the heavier props where the lower KV is proving its value.  These motors are ideal for heavy 5" props and most 6" props, where the wider stator and lower KV really give it an interesting advantage.  This motor will also do very well on high voltage setups on mid-weight 5" props for similar reasons.  Overall and interesting option from SunnySky.
